Thank you for considering me to work alongside you as you embark on a journey of personal growth, self awareness and transformation.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), Registered Sandplay Practitioner (RSP) & SoulCollage® Facilitator. I offer a holistic, trauma informed approach to therapy that focuses on the underlying issues instead of just treating the surface symptoms.
Please note I am no longer working with young children and now enjoy doing inner child work with teens and adults.
My practice integrates Attachment Theory, Depth/Jungian Psychology, Sandplay Therapy, Therapeutic Art, Play Therapy, modalities that can facilitate unconscious material to come to the surface for processing at a pace that feels right for each client. All forms of Expressive Therapies are a complement to talk therapy and are suitable for all ages, including adults.
I have particular interest and experience in the following areas:
- Inner Child Work
- Increasing Self Appreciation
- Relieving Anxiety & Depression
- Overcoming Trauma
- Processing Childhood Wounds
- Fostering Self-Nourishment & Empowerment
- Coping with Grief & Loss
- Dealing with Guilt & Shame
- Exploring Women's Issues
- Embracing Mid Life & Aging
- Improving Assertiveness in Relationships
- Healing from Unstable & Toxic Relationships
- Adapting to Single Parenting, Divorce, Blended Family, Empty Nest Syndrome, Aging Parents, Life Transitions
- Immigration, Acculturation & Cultural Shifts
I am currently working predominantly with teens and adults. I also provide play therapy supervision to mental health professionals wanting to become registered play therapists.
I have experience working with intact, divorced or separated families, military, blended, adoptive and foster families, immigrant and multicultural families, same sex couples, as well as single parents and children raised by their grandparents.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Sessions can be in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
